A dynamic analysis of a slider-crank mechanism is presented in this paper. Two modelsare taken for consideration: stick model built of beam-type planar finite elements, and solid model. The first model is solved by the Authors’ original programs written in Matlab programming language. The second model is analysed in the Adams/Ansys environment. The mechanism is driven by a variant torque applied to the crank, and vibrational transient response is analysed. The midpoint deflection of connecting rod is compared for both models.
