Equipment of file manufacturing handicraft workshops. The traditional handicraft form of file manufacturing required the creation of aspecific workshop environment. The disposition breakdown of file workshops was not too complicated and it reminded of a smithery in many aspects. File making required highly specialized tools focused on forging and grinding of items, cutting of blades, annealing and tempering. With the narrow specialization, small home-based workshops were established in the Svratka region, in which craftsmen and home-based workmen attended to partial tasks. A strong professional layer of residents also brought the professional language of file makers to the countryside. It did not disappear until the second half of the 20th century. The traditional handicraft manufacturing in the Svratka region disappeared quickly in early 1950s. Hand crafting file makers either entirely ceased their activities or moved on to factories in Jihlava and Hlinsko.

File making is a less known branch of smithery, the production of which can be divided into two basic typologically distinct groups - files and rasps. Handmaking of a range of files and rasps included a number of special operations, which led the metal processing sector into becoming a specialized and independent area. The fundamental task of file-making was to create a cutting edge on a prepared forged piece of a file or rasp item. The oldest method was hand crafting which survived from ancient times until the 20th century in almost unchanged form. Independent areas with a strong concentration of file manufacturing were established thanks to some specific conditions. In the Svratka region, a significant part of archaic technologies referring deep into the past of file manufacturing all the way to the 1950s was preserved due to the prosperity of file making.

Skanowanie na współrzędnościowej maszynie pomiarowej (WMP) powierzchni 3D polega na ruchu sondy pomiarowej z końcówką sferyczną wzdłuż wierszy i kolumn prostokątnej siatki utworzonej na tej powierzchni i automatycznym zapisie współrzędnych punktów do zadeklarowanego pliku w komputerze sprzęgniętym z WMP Skanowanie wykonano na manualnej WMP z sztywną sondą pomiarową. Podczas ruchu sondy pomiarowej są zapisywane współrzędne środka sfery sondy pomiarowej z częstotliwością 10 Hz do zbioru. W Instytucie Technik Wytwarzania PW powstało oprogramowanie w języku Fortran tworzące siatkę leżącą na powierzchni równoodległej przesuniętej o promień sfery sondy pomiarowej względem powierzchni zmierzonej. Do przedstawienia graficznego wyników skanowania wykorzystano system AutoCAD. Opracowano program do definiowania powierzchni w postaci siatki dla systemu CAM (PC-APT) w celu odtworzenia tej powierzchni na obrabiarkach CNC.

The presented method can be used for the reverse engineering of the sculptured surfaces. The data of the sculptured surfaces were acquired using the CMM. The ball-shaped rigid scanning probe mounted on the CMM was hand-operated in two perpendicular directions. On the course of these motions, the successive probe center position measurements were registered and sent every tenth of second to a computer file. The program developed by the author using the Fortran language, employed the stepwise Newton polynomial with finite differences for determining the stepwise curves and for calculating extra points spaced at predetermined intervals 1 mm in two perpendicular directions. Then, the vectors of the surface normal in each corner of the mesh have been calculated and the points of meshes on the offset surface could be computed. Finally, the offsets points approximating the offset surface could be introduced into the graphics-oriented system, like the AutoCAD, so that one could obtain the image of computing procedure after scanning. The major potential application of the offset point computing method is connected with the reverse engineering procedure. The offset points co-ordinates can be directly introduced by the command SSURF/MESH,XYZ of the APT part program or the NX CAD/CAM system.

The issue of intellectual property protection on the global information network the Internet has recently become a matter of serious concern on the part of rights holders. Copyright, which arose with the invention of book printing in medieval Europe, was originally planned and understood as an institution of exclusive author’s monopoly on the production of material copies of works. In fact, it is in this context that the concept of copyright existed until the XXI century. On the eve of the new millennium, the emergence of an unprecedented phenomenon for its time - the World Wide Web, has significantly shaken traditional views on the concept of copyright and the limits of its regulation. The effectiveness of the copyright approach to the protection of the legitimate interests of right holders was questioned as early as 1845 by the American judge in the case of Emerson V. Davies. In his opinion, the exclusive rights to the results of creative activity are inadmissible, given that these results themselves are the result of thoughts, ideas, images that were created and repeatedly used by other people. Indeed, creativity is impossible without attracting or borrowing from the “intellectual treasury” of civilization. With the development of modern information technology, such borrowing has become available to anyone with an Internet connection. With the proliferation of computer programs that allow you to record music, create images, animation, creativity is no longer an elite activity available only to the select few.
