The First World War marked not only the “great” history, but it also entered the everyday lives of the inhabitants in the states at war; that means also in the Czech lands. It did not steer clear of pubs of different kinds. The war sorrows influenced the operation of hospitality establishments to a large extent. The war noticeably restricted the services the hospitality establishments delivered to accidental visitors as well as to regular clients,whereby the drastic decrease in basic refreshments, especially beer and other intoxicating beverages, as well as other kinds of refreshment was undoubtedly the most acute problem. As aconsequenceof various restrictions in hospitality establishments operation, the war conflict endangered the existence of many operators and owners of such firms whose business lost its sense the leisure time of wide layers of inhabitants, and the social life suffered as a consequence of the stifling atmosphere as well, as the pubs and inns were natural centres of social life. In addition, a considerable decrease in the number of those who usually were involved in local entertainments and pastimes made itself felt. Although politicizing was considerably restrictedat pubs and inns at that time, because it was strictly forbidden and checked, some establishments became a place of conspiracy against the existing monarchy. Pubs played an important role on the occasion of the declaration of independence in October 1918.

Codzienność wychowania jako skrzyżowanie światów życia pedagoga i wychowanka, będąca wieloznaczną i zróżnicowaną, zmienną, bo tworzącą się, racjonalną i nieracjonalną et cetera, nie pozwala na „przycięcie” w rozmiarze uniwersalnym zasad i przewidywanych efektów etycznego działania. Jest placem gry między nieuchronnością i możliwością etycznego działania pedagogicznego. Tym samym w artykule została podważona zasadność tworzenia kodeksu etycznego jako „dokumentu” uprawomocniającego status profesji pedagoga. Towarzyszy temu przekonanie, że niezmiernie trudno wyważyć deontologię z poszanowaniem prawa pedagoga do autonomii podmiotowej, jak również z docenieniem przeżywania przez niego i wychowanka codzienności wychowania.

The The everyday reality of education as the crossroads intertwining the lifeworlds of the educator and pupil, being ambiguous and diverse, variable, because creating itself, rational and irrational, et cetera, does not allow for “trimming” in a universal dimension the principles and the expected effects of ethical action. It is a playing field between inevitability and the possibility of ethical pedagogical action. Thus, the article called into question the legitimacy of creating a code of ethics as a “document” validating the status of the profession of an educator. This is accompanied by the belief that it is extremely difficult to balance deontology with respecting the right of the educator to the personal autonomy, as well as the appreciation of his/her and the pupil's experiencing of the everyday reality of education.

Artykuł przedstawia próbę rekonstrukcji kategorii codzienności w perspektywie fenomenologii Edmunda Husserla. Prowadzone badania wskazały na możliwość wykorzystania podstawowych idei fenomenologii Husserla do tworzenia teoretycznych rusztowań dla omawianej kategorii. Podstawowe motywy, wokół których prowadzone są analizy, to: świat otaczający, świat życia codziennego, doświadczenie, przeżycie, horyzont.

The article presents an attempt to reconstruct the category of everyday reality in the perspective of phenomenology of Edmund Husserl. The research indicated the possibility of using the basic ideas of Husserl’s phenomenology to create a theoretical scaffolding for the discussed category. The main themes around which the analysis revolved include the following items: the surrounding world, the world of everyday life, experience, horizon.
