W pracy przedstawiono modelowanie materiałów sprężystoplastycznych za pomocą sformułowania początkowych naprężeń metody elementów brzegowych (MEB). Omówiono stosowane równania całkowe oraz realizację numeryczną metody. W analizie dynamicznej zastosowano metodę podwójnej wzajemności MEB. Opracowano program komputerowy, który zastosowano do obliczenia przemieszczeń i naprężeń w tarczy obciążonej siłami dynamicznymi.

The paper shows numerical aspects of modelling elastoplastic materials by the boundary element method. The initial stress approach is used in the elastoplastic analysis. In the dynamic analysis mass matrices are computed by the dual reciprocity method (DRBEM). The computer program code was developed to compute displacements and stresses in a rectangular plate with a hole loaded by dynamic forces.

The dual reciprocity boundary element method is applied for numerical modelling of solidification process. This variant of the BEM is connected with the transformation of the domain integral to the boundary integrals. In the paper the details of the dual reciprocity boundary element method are presented and the usefulness of this approach to solidification process modelling is demonstrated. In the final part of the paper the examples of computations are shown.
