The article is devoted to the issue of attorney’s accountability for revealing, by breaching the attorney-client privilege, information concerning the client’s private life, which is perceived as a personal right according to the civil law. The author makes an attempt to answer the question which legal articles will be breached by the attorney in this case, and how the client can pursue their rights. She weighs the attorney’s accountability both when the attorney reveals some information of their own volition, and when they are forced by the existing legal articles. The author’s findings lead to an unequivocal conclusion that the client from the above-mentioned situation can pursue their rights, which the attorney had violated by breaching the attorneyclient privilege, not only by instituting disciplinary proceedings against the attorney, but also based on the civil law articles. However, a positive result of both proceedings will always be dependent on deciding whether the attorney is unlawful.

In 2016, the Constitution of Ukraine was amended in the area of the judiciary. This amendment contained a thorough reorganisation of the body competent in matters related to disciplinary proceedings against judges and entitled to submit candidates for judges to the President. This amendment implemented most of the recommendations formulated by the institutions of the Council of Europe regarding the composition and operating principles of this body. The study presents the genesis, composition, competences, principles and practice of the functioning of the Supreme Council of Justice in Ukraine.

The article aims to present selected problems of the functioning of the principle of a fair disciplinary response in the matters of the Marshal’s Guard officers. The author analyzes in this study the issue of judgments issued in disciplinary proceedings and the statutory mechanisms of applying disciplinary penalties to officers of the Marshal’s Guard.

Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie niektórych problemów funkcjonowania zasady trafnej reakcji dyscyplinarnej w odniesieniu do funkcjonariuszy Straży Marszałkowskiej. Autorka poddaje analizie w przedmiotowym opracowaniu kwestię orzeczeń zapadających w postępowaniach dyscyplinarnych oraz ustawowe mechanizmy stosowania kar dyscyplinarnych wobec funkcjonariuszy Straży Marszałkowskiej
