Zaprezentowano zautomatyzowany system wizyjny przeznaczony do oznaczania wskaźnika wolnego wydymania węgla kamiennego (Sl), który został opracowany i wykonany w Przemysłowym Instytucie Elektroniki. W systemie zaimplementowano wybrane techniki przetwarzania i analizy obrazów, obejmujące zagadnienia filtracji liniowej i nieliniowej, analizy obiektów blob oraz metody precyzyjnego wyszukiwania powtarzających się fragmentów w obrazie "pattern matching". System jest kompatybilny z polskimi i międzynarodowymi normami.

The paper presents the automated, vision system for determination of the crucible swelling number of the hard coal. The method of determination of the crucible swelling number as well as the system, were developed in the Industrial Institute of Electronics. Such techniques of image processing and analysis as: convolution, morphology, blob analysis and pattern matching, were implemented in the system. The system is compatible to Polish and international standards.

Techniki komputerowe mogą pomóc lekarzowi w dostępie do dużych zbiorów danych poprzez różnego rodzaju bazy danych. Informatyka dostarcza także licznych metod, które mogą mieć zastosowanie w systemach wspomagania decyzji oraz w procesach uczenia.

Time effectiveness optimization of cross correlation methods for ocr systems with the use of graphics processing units

In this paper authors propose a time optimization of fast normalized cross corrlation methods for image processing and optical character recognition with the use of parallel computing techniques realized on graphics processing units (GPU). It is shown that suitable modification of the wellknown formulas and their parallel implementation on graphics processing units may substantially accelerate computing time without any change of the quality of results. The performed research include comparative analysis of time efficiency of the developed methods with respect to their standard sequential implementations.
