The article deals with the application of drama, a solution for inclusiveness in teaching children with special educational needs in the preschool and elementary school education spectrum, with the use of the Kolb cycle in the construction of classes. It presents the main principles of a training which was provided to a group of 78 students of pre-school and early school education, including forty-two professionally active teachers. Subsequently, in order to diagnose the application in practice of the acquired skills, a questionnaire of the author’s own design was used in a survey con- ducted one month and one year after the training. The results revealed that, according to the assumptions, professionally active teachers generally use drama in pre-schools and at school; what is more, the Kolb cycle is used creatively in combination with other educational and preventive techniques.

Pierwsze dwa dni konferencji przeznaczone były na wystąpienia prelegentów, którzy są ekspertami świata nauki i biznesu, natomiast w ostatnim dniu, tzw. dniu warsztatowym, uczestnicy konferencji zwiedzili Volkswagen Poznań Sp. z o.o. - przedsiębiorstwo stosujące rozwiązania WCM (World Class Manufacturing) - i osobiście mieli okazję przekonać się, jak te rozwiązania są wykorzystywane w praktyce.

Warszawska konferencja „Dla miasta i środowiska. Problemy unieszkodliwiania odpadów” już na stałe wpisała się w harmonogram imprez naukowo-technicznych dotyczących ochrony środowiska. Organizatorem już ósmej edycji 29 listopada ub.r. był Wydział Inżynierii Chemicznej i Procesowej Politechniki Warszawskiej. Początkowo z powodu śnieżycy istniały obawy o frekwencję (zarejestrowało się ponad 180 osób), jednak większości udało się dotrzeć na konferencję. Podobnie jak w poprzednich latach seminarium podzielono na dwie równocześnie odbywające się sesje: naukowo-techniczną i samorządowo-ekonomiczno-prawną. Celem organizatorów jest chęć zapoznania uczestników z wieloma zagadnieniami, jednak równocześnie stawia to ich często przed dylematem, który referat wybrać, a z którego zrezygnować.

About the MeetingThis year the Annual Meeting off the German Society of Travel Medicine took place in Bremerhaven, September 16th to 18th. This traditional harbour town where thousands of Germans were embarking hundred years ago facing an uncertain future, the so-called “climate house” (an exihibtion about several aspects of the world’s climate) and the Alfred-Wegener Institute for Arctic Research were a fantastic setting for the meeting’s motto “traveling under extreme conditions”. After a brillant introduction by Stefan Kröpelin about research in the Sahara two weeks away from the next pharmacy and a fascinating lecture by Eberhard Kohlberg how to organize expeditions to Antarctica and how to work and to live there several lecturers illuminated a wide field of travel medicine in more or less extreme conditions.

On 21 November 2014 the Conference of PhD and students of the Institute of History and International Relations UPH took place in Siedlce. The conference was organized very well and 21 students and doctorals attended to it. Participants presented the results of their historical research. Hopefully, the conference will be held next academic year.
