Residential complex in the seaside resort of Banjas in Syria was designed as a Habitat unit, consisting of sixteen buildings housing approx. 600 people and a nursery school. Presented complex is an attempt to place a large volume of buildings on a limited site area, rectangular in shape and with a north-south axis. Separation of pedestrian traffic from vehicle traffic was the main objective, achieved by creation of an internal courtyard used for recreational purposes as well.
