The paper describes the key characteristics of some types of microtunnelling pipes available in the Polish construction market, including: polymer concrete, GRP composites, clay and reinforced concrete pipes. The choice of pipe material to construct a microtunnelling duct depends on the intended use of the pipe, mechanical strength required, resistance to chemical and biological loads and the adaptability of joints in terms of the medium to be transported (pressures). The choice is only limited to those companies who responded to the survey by the Inżynieria Bezwykopowa quarterly.
