The research presented in the paper consisted in the creation of innovative hydrophobic agents and demonstration of their effectiveness on the surface of concrete. The starting materials were Bioeco-Base, Bioeco-G derived from natural oils, water soluble silanes, methyl silicone resin, and/or tap water. Aqueous formulations (6, 10) are characterized by properties which reduce the impact of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) on the environment, as they consist of biodegradable components only.
