W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań i analizy wpływu nadajników mobilnych sieci komórkowych operatorów publicznych na pracę terminali GSM-R. W pierwszej części pracy przybliżono sieć GSM-R i typy odbiorników pracujących w tej sieci. Następnie przedstawiono stan wiedzy na temat niekorzystnego wpływu publicznych sieci GSM, UMTS i LTE na pracę odbiorników GSM-R. W głównej części artykułu zaprezentowano własne wyniki badań przeprowadzone z użyciem metod analitycznych i symulacyjnych. Na końcu artykułu zostały przedstawione podsumowanie i wnioski końcowe.

The article presents the results of research and analysis an influence of Mobile/Fixed Communications Networks to GSM-R terminals. In the following parts there were presented the GSM-R network and they types of terminals. Then there were presented the state of knowledge about the adverse impact public GSM, UMTS and LTE networks to GSM-R receivers. In the main part of the article there were presented the results of own research with use the analytical and simulation methods. At the end of the article they were presented the summary and conclusions.

Maintenance management systems have been operating in the European railway market for many years. However, implementation of the new legal regulations means that the impact of the structured system approach is constantly developing. This new approach focuses on management of the safety critical components (SCC), where the main involved parties are rolling stock manufacturers and the certified entities in charge of maintenance (ECM). The aim of this article is to present how changes to legislation affect development of the maintenance systems, both in the context of their requirements and criteria used, as well as in relation to a requirement of rolling the certification process out to all ECMs, irrespectively of the types of vehicles are used by them. Furthermore, the article focuses on critical safety components and respectively challenges faced by entities on the railway market. Therefore, the process of identifying SCC is described and analysed by providing examples of components that most frequently appear on the list of safety critical components which were developed in the Polish railway market.

W artykule przedstawiono identyfikację i analizę powiązań (relacji), które mogą występować między składowymi treści rekomendacji bezpieczeństwa i zdarzeniami kolejowymi. Do realizacji zadania wybrano metodę MBA (market basket analysis), a obliczenia przeprowadzono w programie STATISTICA. Przyjęto trzy warianty uzyskiwania rozwiązań, różniące się wartościami granicznymi (minimalnymi) współczynników jakości reguł oraz prawdziwością zdań i składowych reguł. Wyniki wraz z interpretacją przedstawiono w postaci tabel i sieci reguł asocjacji.

The article presents the identification and analysis of relationships that may occur between the safety recommendations and rail events. The MBA method was used, and the calculations were performed in the STATISTICA. Three variants of solutions have been developed, differing in the limits of the quality factors of the association rules. Results and interpretations are presented in the form of tables and a network of association rules.

This paper presents a simulation method for testing the energy absorbed by the absorption systems of rail vehicles equipped with a soft absorber. The method makes it possible to verify the actual behavior of the absorption system during the impact of two vehicles. The first part of this paper describes the structural elements of a railway vehicle performing the function of an energy absorber during an impact according to the EN 15227 standard. A soft absorber, the so-called honeycomb, is analyzed in detail. It is a multicellular structure often used in rail vehicles due to its properties of controlled deformation. The literature review describes the research conducted on this element. The analytical part of this paper describes a general mathematical model of a rail vehicle collision according to Scenario 1, in which the collided vehicles are of the same type, and Scenario 2 for vehicles of different types. A computational impact simulation for the two scenarios has been carried out using the specialist software Mathcad, and the results are presented in graphs. The paper ends with conclusions presenting the application possibilities of the developed tool.

Safety of the railway transport is extremely important issue, thus it has to be supported by numerous of terms. It is not only the legislation and organization or traffic control but also the proper quality of every devices in the railway infrastructure. The paper deals with safety in the rail industry. Companies and producers of railway equipment have to guarantee the best quality, maintenance and reliability. Safety is also a device directly responsible for protecting e.g. level crossings but also safety in terms of design and construction. Supervision of products is fulfilled in Poland by e.g. the Office of Railway Transport managing the safety and regulation of rail traffic. The paper presents industry security in terms of product as safety in design and production, in construction, in exploitation. Despite such extensive, multisector and multifaceted organizational, legal and technical safety structures in rail transport it is advisable to conduct further research into the analysis of the possibilities for improved safety. Also authors have assumed that for the improving of railway crossing safety level the support system for the traffic detection can be developed. To increase of the complex crossing safety level the support system has to be independent from current usage control devices, as axle counter block. Thus the paper presents concept of application of vibration wave propagation employing as source if information on train or car detection.

Przedstawiono w nim przesłanki utworzenia, strukturę oraz zadania Europejskiej Agencji Kolejowej oraz propozycje zmian w tym zakresie zawarte w projekcie IV pakietu kolejowego Unii Europejskiej.

This article presents the structure, functions and powers of the European Railway Agency considering the functions and tasks of EU agencies as well as the legal basis of their operation, which determine the scope of their respective competences. Discussed are the premises for the establishment of the European Railway Agency, its structure and tasks as well as proposals for improvements in this area in the draft of the Fourth Railway Package.
