The hotel business constitutes an important part of both the national economy and the tourist one. The article presents the trends on the Polish market of tourist services in terms of the number of hotel objects in the years 2004-2008. The analysis done shows that in the analyzed period the number of hotel objects in Poland increased, although there was not a homogenous tendency in particular types of such objects. In the coming years we can expect the increasing tendency to continue due to further economic changes and diversification of tourists’ needs.
