This article is an attempt to estimate the quality of airplanes on the basis of values of tactic-technical parameters and basic performance. A set of chosen contemporary military airplanes were analyzed. There is a ranking of planes, regarding their synthetic quality factor in relation to: air-air, air-surface and multitask, presented. To analyze the quality of planes the matrix method of comparative study was used. The suitable hierarchic factors of tactic-technical parameters were determined basing on taxonomical techniques.
