In the paper certain abstract combinatorial structures are studied as representations of the structure of barycentres of all the subsimplices of a given simplex in an arbitrary Desarguesian affine space. General properties of the configuration of barycentres are characterized in terms of those combinatorial structures. Most essential parameters of these structures are established and relevant automorphism groups are characterized.

Wyznaczenie położenia środka ciężkości jest podstawową czynnością, którą podejmuje się przy doświadczalnej weryfikacji stateczności maszyny roboczej lub identyfikacji przyczyn szybkiej degradacji węzła obrotu. Przez zastosowanie pomiaru odkształceń szyny od poszczególnych kół jezdnych i odpowiednią kombinację położeń nadwozia względem podwozia możliwa jest eliminacja systematycznego błędu wynikającego z charakterystyki tensometru i jego położenia.

Determination of the center of gravity is the basic activity, that is taken on during the experimental verification of stability of working machine or during the reason identification of fast degradation of the rotational joint. By the application of measurements of rail's strains from the particular wheels and the proper combination of superstructure orientation it is possible to eliminate the systematic failure that is a result of strain gauge characteristic and its location.
