The paper treats Gernot Böhme’s project of new aesthetics as a signal of the advent of postmodern cosmology with the status of a philosophical theory. The main task of this study is to use some categories of Gernot Böhme’s aesthetics in discussing the processes of aestheticization of reality not only in terms of changes that occur between the human environment in the spatial but also in temporal dimension. The starting point is the analysis of aesthetic sense experience with a cognitive character. This experience is analyzed by Böhme within three main fields of aesthetic interest: nature, design, and art. The processes of aestheticizing reality blur the boundaries between the natural and the artificial to such an extent that the essence of aesthetic cognition should be investi-gated by analyzing nature together with design. Böhme’s categories of philosophy of nature can be utilized creatively to analyze aesthetic experience of the past. The phe-nomenon of the ephemeral and the concept of atmospheres take the rhythms of nature into account but it contrasts them with the human conception of time. The postmodern attitude towards time suggests a different theoretical approach that can be treated as the expansion of Böhme’s aesthetics, which is more focused on analyzing changes in space.

Powieść Marii Krysinskiej, La Force du désir, przez długi czas była czytana jako powieść z kluczem, przedstawiająca, w sposób ironiczny, paryski światek artystyczny. Krysinska, kompozytorka, poetka i pisarka, pokazuje środowisko przeżarte hipokryzją. Ocenianie twórczości nie wedle jej wartości, ale wedle uznania publiczności lub płci sprawia, iż mierny autor zdobywa uznanie dla swego tworu, prawdziwa artystka – jedynie pochwałę swej urody. Na terenie sztuki kobieta jest Innym, Obcym, tak samo jak twórcy-mężczyźni, którzy nie wpisują się w doxa. Powieść Krysinskiej pokazuje walkę i trwanie Sztuki i artysty, tłamszonych przez miernych odbiorców i ich fałszywych bogów.

Marie Krysinska’s novel, La Force du désir, for the longest time was read as a roman à clef, an ironic depiction of the Parisian artistic milieu. Krysinska, a composer, poet, and a writer, exposes a society riddled with hypocrisy. The work of art is valued not by its merits, but by its popularity or by the sex of the creator, and, consequently, a mediocre male artisan achieves recognition for his work, while a true female artist – only a compliment on her beauty. In the artistic realm, a woman is the Other, Stranger, just like those male creators who do not submit themselves to doxa. Krysinska’s novel depicts the struggle and endurance of Art and the artist, suppressed by a mediocre audience and its false idols.

The article is referring to the sociology of culture and art, history of art. The source material were all sorts of studies and texts: historical development, scientific articles, an exhibition of paintings and albums, reviews, biographies. This article aims is to describe and analyze the functioning of the artists-women in the past and contemporary in the field of art as examples the fine arts and literature. The text has a character of sketch, which is about the relationship of art and feminism. Foremost important aspect that remains the issue of women’s socio-cultural role, especially in terms of autonomy, authority, obligations.

Artykuł jest szkicem odwołującym się do płaszczyzny socjologii kultury i sztuki, historii sztuki. Materiał źródłowy stanowiły różnego rodzaju studia i teksty: opracowania historyczne, artykuły naukowe, wystawy malarstwa i albumy, recenzje, biografie. Celem artykułu jest analiza funkcjonowania artystek z Europy w polu sztuki w przeszłości i współcześnie na przykładzie literatury i sztuk plastycznych. Tekst ma charakter szkicu, dotyczy socjologii artystki, w tym powiązań sztuki i feminizmu. W rozważaniach zwrócono szczególną uwagę na kwestię roli społeczno-kulturowej kobiet, zwłaszcza w aspekcie autonomii, autorytetu i zobowiązań.
