This article deals with the proposal, by the early-Wittgenstein, that we avoid antinomies by excluding talk about talk. Given that such a policy is in its very character controversial, we consider whether antimonies might not be better dealt with by a shift from the sphere of epistemology to that of aesthetics. To this end we develop some of the principles of Wittgensteinian aesthetics, taking in the whole of Wittgenstein’s work, both early and late, and its roots in German idealism. Key themes are an analogy between Hegel’s and Wittgenstein’s (later) approach to contradiction, and an analysis of Hegel’s thesis according to which beauty is the sensuous manifestation of truth.

Der Artikel befasst sich mit dem Vorschlag des frühen Wittgenstein, Antinomien durch ein Verbot des Sprechens über die Sprache zu vermeiden. In Anbetracht dessen, dass ein solches Verbot von seinem Wesen her ebenfalls strittig ist, wird die Möglichkeit in Erwägung gezogen, ob Antinomien nicht adäquater durch einen Übergang vom epistemischen in den ästhetischen Bereich angegangen werden konnten. Zu diesem Zweck werden im Kontext des Gesamtwerks Wittgensteins, d. h. sowohl des Früh- als auch des Spätwerks, sowie hinsichtlich von Wittgensteins Wurzeln im deutschen Idealismus, bestimmte Grundsatze der Ästhetik Wittgensteins entwickelt. Dabei zeigt sich die entscheidende Bedeutung der Analogie der Ansätze Hegels und des (späteren) Wittgensteins hinsichtlich dieser Streitfrage sowie die Analyse der These Hegels, der gemäß die Schönheit die Sinnesmanifestation der Wahrheit ist.

Integracja europejska jest często postrzegana na wzór liniowego postępu zmierzającego do stworzenia coraz ściślejszego związku między narodami Europy. W tym artykule dowodzę, że powinniśmy analizować integrację europejską w kategoriach procesu napędzanego przez wewnętrzne sprzeczności i nierzadko prowadzącego do rezultatów odmiennych od oczekiwań jej głównych architektów. Odwołując się do prac niemieckich socjologów – J. Habermasa, C. Offe i W. Streecka – diagnozuję obecny kryzys Unii Europejskiej jako wynikający ze sprzecznych logik integracji politycznej, ekonomicznej i kulturowej. Te sprzeczności i antynomie zmuszają nas, jak sądzę, do ponownego postawienia pytania o to, jaki powinien być realistyczny cel polityki europejskiej.

European integration is very often conceived as form of linear progress, aimed at ever closer union. In this article I argue that European modernization should be rather conceptualized as a process driven by inner contradictions and producing consequences that are often different from those expected by its main architects. Drawing on recent work of J. Habermas, C. Offe and W. Streeck, I diagnose the current crisis in EU politics as a result of the conflicting logics of political, cultural and economic integration. I believe these antinomies and contradictions force us to rethink once again what we take to be the realistic goal of European politics.

W artykule omówiono treść komunikatywno-pragmatyczną i kulturoznawczą wiersza Jana Czykwina „Dawno umarły ojciec polem idzie”. Przedmiotem badania są różne rodzaje antynomii, środki stylotwórcze, struktura tekstowa i znaczeniowa, organiczna więź z przypowieścią o siewcy (Łk 8, 5–15), sztuka staroruska i synergiczny obraz świata antropologii chrześcijańskiej.

The author of the article discusses communicative-pragmatic and cultural information in the poem “Dauno nezhyvy batska polem idze” by Jan Chykvin. The following problems are analyzed: types of antinomy, style-forming devices, textual structure and meaning, organic link with the Parable of the Sower, Old Ruthenian art and synergic image of the world in Christian anthropology.
