Poland has been experiencing a number of problems related to social and demographic changes – ageing of the society in particular. However, the national social policy for older people has just begun to form. Th is study presents the main trends in the said policy. It presents forms of social support aimed at older and old people, having the form of benefi ts and social assistance services.
The aim of the work is to show reasons for implementing the concept of age management in enterprises.Four reasons that serve as conditions for human resources to include age management policies have beenanalysed. They are:1. demographic changes (ageing workforce),2. adjustment of the enterprise policy to the state policy in reference to employment,3. keeping a particular level of competence in organisations,4. benefits stemming from diversity.
