Prezentowany artykuł dotyczy znaczenia osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu młodych ludzi. Na wstępie został omówiony problem integracji osób niepełnosprawnych. Zwrócono uwagę na bariery uczestnictwa niepełnosprawnych w życiu społecznym. Zauważono, że osoby niepełnosprawne mogą odgrywać ważną rolę w życiu młodych ludzi. Kontakt z osobą niepełnosprawną często wpływa na hierarchię wartości ludzi pełnosprawnych. Aby zweryfikować tę hipotezę przeprowadzono badania dotyczące znaczenia osób niepełnosprawnych w życiu studentów. Opinie polskiej młodzieży na ten temat są znane (Wołosiuk 2008), więc interesujące było poznanie stanowiska studentów zamieszkujące inne państwo. W związku z tym zwrócono się do studentów Białoruskiego Państwowego Uniwersytetu Kultury Fizycznej w Mińsku, aby wypowiedzieli się na temat niepełnosprawności oraz ich relacji z osobą niepełnosprawną.

The following article concerns the significance of the disabled in the life of young people. In the introductory section, the problem of integration of the disabled has been discussed. The attention is paid to the existing barriers that hinder disabled people from participation in social life. It has been noticed that the disabled may play an important role in the life of young people. The contact with a disabled person quite often affects the hierarchy of values of those who are healthy. In order to review the hypothesis, the tests concerning the significance of the disabled persons in the life of students were conducted. The opinions of the Polish youth on this topic are known (Wołosiuk 2008); thus, it was interesting to see the position of students living in another country. As a result, the students of the Belarus State University of Physical Education in Minsk were asked to give their opinion on disability and their relationship with disabled persons.

Christian formation aims at the formation of the man in God’s image. It is implemented in many places, among which the family is of particular importance. The community of the family is the first and basic place as well as the subject of religious formation. The Christian family, based on the sacramental marriage, is the place where the offspring is born and educated in a versatile way. All the family members, especially the children, and the disabled children, are the objects of the Christian formation in the family. All the disabled children, regardless of the kind and extent of disability, should undergo such a formation. Christian formation consists of: the human, intellectual, spiritual and apostolic formation. The limitations which result from disability influence the extent and methods of the Christian formation in the family.

The aim of the article is to show job search methods used by people with disabilities in the context of own research results. This study is a narrow part of the analyzes related to the issue of vocational activation of this group of people. The first part of the study contains a theoretical introduction, the second part presents respondents' answers to questions related to factors influencing the decision to search for employment, the preferred methods in this respect and the frequency of contact with the labour market. The results of the study showed that the factor influencing the decision to look for a job was primarily the desire to raise the material status, the need for greater independence and being among people, changing the current lifestyle and the need to improve skills and develop interests. It is worth noting that people with disabilities most often use less-effective job search methods and also have low activity in this area.

Polish vocational education to special assigns a very important role in the education and upbringing of young people with disabilities. Vocational training is an integral part of the national education system, thereby implementing educational objectives adopted for this system. Th e purpose of training and education in schools for young people with disabilities is to strive to achieve the best results revalidation / rehabilitation of youths. It constitutes for most of them the fi nal step in the rehabilitation process of the school / revalidation. By training young people are not fully operational physically or intellectually prepared to act independently in social and professional life. Vocational schools by the multifaceted interaction enhances and corrects their pupils. In principle, the eff ects of rehabilitation will be the fuller the more the process of education and training in vocational schools will run in conjunction with all aspects of the life of society as a whole and the local community as a direct living environment. Functioning of social and professional, and a variety of diff erent social roles associated with the daily operation requires adequate education of young people with disabilities supported by customized content, forms and methods of work.

Polskiemu szkolnictwu zawodowemu specjalnemu przypisuje się bardzo ważną rolę w procesie kształcenia i wychowania młodzieży niepełnosprawnej. Kształcenie zawodowe stanowi integralną część systemu edukacji narodowej, tym samym realizuje cele wychowawcze przyjęte dla tego systemu. Celem kształcenia i wychowania w szkołach dla młodzieży niepełnosprawnej jest dążenie do osiągnięcia jak najlepszych efektów rewalidacji/ rehabilitacji tej młodzieży. Stanowi ono dla większości z nich końcowy etap szkolnego procesu rehabilitacji/rewalidacji. Poprzez kształcenie zawodowe młodzież nie w pełni sprawna fi zycznie lub intelektualnie przygotowywana jest do samodzielnego funkcjonowania w życiu społecznym i zawodowym. Szkoły zawodowe przez wielopłaszczyznowe oddziaływanie usprawniają i korygują swoich wychowanków. W założeniu efekty rehabilitacji będą tym pełniejsze, im bardziej proces wychowania i kształcenia w szkołach zawodowych będzie przebiegał w powiązaniu z wszelkimi przejawami życia społeczeństwa jako całości i lokalnych społeczności jako bezpośredniego środowiska życia. Funkcjonowanie społeczne i zawodowe, przyjmowanie różnych i różnorodnych ról społecznych związanych z codziennym funkcjonowaniem wymaga odpowiedniej organizacji kształcenia młodzieży niepełnosprawnej wspartej przez dostosowane treści, formy i metody pracy.
