The uniform type 60 marked a breakthrough in the soldier’s clothing. This was the first type of camouflage pattern introduced in the Czechoslovak People’s Army (ČSĽA). Along with the ČSĽA, the uniform was also worn by the Army of the Ministry of the Interior and the People’s Militia. The uniform became the symbol of the compulsory military service as well as the Army itself. Our paper is aimed at explaining the origin of the uniform, to describe its pattern and to briefly explain the individual components belonging to it. At the same time, the aim is also to mention the various exceptions that have been discovered when examining the different parts of the uniform.
