The awareness of ubiquity and unusual activity of ancestors’ souls stamps its mark on the form of admission to a community a new member or reassociation of the old on to a community. The portrait of Serbian traditional world of birth is strictly dependent on accepted forms of communication with the dead and the connection with them is mostly achieved by making a sacrifice. This form, as a consequence of recognition of the need of their help without which the rite of birth could not be fulfilled is also a method of accentuation by people the remembrance of their ancestors’ souls and a constant search of their acceptance. The magical journey of Serbian traditional birth rite participants (subjects), possible only due to a specified collection of magical verbal behavior and magical ritual actions, is therefore subordinated to chthonic reality from which a newborn child comes. Its presence of the chthonic reality is the result of the fact that a child must depart with it in a specified manner and obtain consent to pass onto the world, that will teach them the methods of communication with “the old community”.
