The author refers to Israeli - Palestinian peace process and the threats coming from terrorist organisation Hamas. He presents his viewpoint on the issue to decrease to minimum terrorist groups’ activities in Israel through normalisation of relations with this country’s Arab neighbours. He describes in detail Israeli soldier’s, Corp Waxman’s, abduction and killing and also Israeli special forces’ rescue action aiming at rescuing from terrorists’ hands. This event is discussed in the aspect of its impact on peace talks. Giving examples of terrorist attacks that took place in Israel in 1994 - 1997, the author points out how difficult the road is to normalise peacefully the Arab - Israeli conflict in the Middle East where fanatic terrorist organisations are ready to provoke even a military conflict in this region instead of a constructive dialogue.
