This article analyses the style of Mongolian proverbs. The style of Mongolian proverbs is based on the unification of disparate ideas by means of metaphors, similes as well as their familiarities and contrasts. The general procedures of their stylistic structures are parallelism and repetition. Alliteration, a characteristic feature of Mongolian oral literature, is also used. It is also pointed out that the main characteristic of the style of proverbs is the creative usage of connotation words.
