The experimental set-ups realized in Electric System KNX Installation Laboratory of IEPE allowing investigating and testing the switching processes in this installation system is presented. The main aim of our investigations is to determine the required installation operating conditions assuring its good working during long time. Analysis of short-circuit current switching implies that a good protection against overheating must be based on comparison of conductor admitted Joule's integral with energy goes through breaker taken from apparatus catalogues.
