The author tries to put order into the discussion which is carried on in economic sciences on the goals of the enterprise. He points to the multiple concepts as suggested in economic literature, being the result of the various relations between the entities that influence the functioning of enterprises, such as owners, managers, employees, suppliers and purchasers and the state. The author suggests to use the theory of markets to identify relations that determine the goals of enterprises, namely the position of owners, managers and employees on the respective markets, the character of government regulation etc. (original abstract)

W ostatnich latach uruchomiono wiele systemów kolei miejskich. Szybka kolej miejska może być sposobem na rozwiązanie problemów występujących w dużych aglomeracjach, takich jak kongestia czy zanieczyszczenie powietrza powodowane działalnością transportową. Aby zachęcić użytkowników systemu transportowego do korzystania ze środków publicznego transportu zbiorowego, w tym kolei, konieczne jest wprowadzanie rozwiązań korzystnych dla jego funkcjonowania. W artykule zaprezentowano procedurę identyfikacji takich rozwiązań - dobrych praktyk - w istniejących systemach kolei w obszarach miejskich. Zidentyfikowane rozwiązania mogą być następnie wprowadzone w innych ośrodkach miejskich w celu podniesienia poziomu obsługi.(abstrakt oryginalny)

In many urban areas railway systems have been introduced in recent years. Rapid metropolitan railway may be solution to many transport problems of modern urban agglomerations such as congestion or pollu-tion. In order to encourage people to use means of public transport such as metropolitan railway systems it is necessary to introduce solutions for its functioning which are beneficial. The paper presents a procedure of identifying such solutions - which are called good practices, in existing metropolitan railway systems. Identified solutions may be later transferred to other systems to increase the level of service.(original abstract)

Paradygmat pełni kluczową rolę w funkcjonowaniu przedsiębiorstw, ponieważ podmioty gospodarcze to systemy charakteryzujące się działaniem celowym, czyli skoncentrowanym na realizacji założonych rezultatów, przyszłego stanu rzeczy - który chciałyby osiągnąć. Cele przedsiębiorstwa powinny być jednoznacznie określone. Jest to warunek niezbędny do utrzymania stabilnej pozycji na rynku oraz przewagi konkurencyjnej. Zagregowanym celem który powinien dominować jest natomiast maksymalizacja wartości dla akcjonariuszy, realizowana przy regularnym wzroście wartości rynkowej podmiotu. Zarządzający powinni myśleć kategoriami szerszymi niż tylko realizacja maksymalnego zysku. Dzięki realizacji celu zagregowanego nie tylko same przedsiębiorstwa, ale i podmioty z ich otoczenia będą miały warunki do rozwoju, co w spotęgowany sposób znajdzie odzwierciedlenie w przyszłych wynikach finansowych danego podmiotu gospodarczego. The most important process in realization of paradigm of the aggregated goal in the enterprise is for owners to realize, that they need to concentrate on one destination. It is leading the management process to be more clear and effective, because it lets not only for fulfilling important needs and aspirations, but as well allows to brightly describe evaluations of work of the management board criteria, and also to build motivation systems for employees on this base. Maximization of the value is a purpose which should dominate for shareholders, carried out at the regular increase in the market value of the subject. Owners simply have the strongest motivation for managing the way, to be the most competitive on the market. If managers and owners of enterprises will understand this straight, the total economy of a country will benefit from it. (original abstract)

W artykule przedstawiono rozważania na temat głównego (immanentnego) celu przedsiębiorstwa rynkowego i interpretacje tego celu a także jego cele wewnętrzne i ich identyfikację.

When discussing the functioning of contemporary market enterprises considering profit a purpose of their activities is thought to be a traditional and too simplified approach. The paper is an attempt at showing that the development of enterprises, differentiation of their size and methods of their management do not influence the shakening of the role of profit as a main, although not the only, purpose of a firm. On the contrary, it is the realization of various purposes of an enterprise that is conditioned by the profits secured by that firm. (original abstract)
