The development of the knowledge-based economy is inextricably linked with the develop-ment of the IT industry. Every now and then new IT specializations are emerging, such as a data architect, data scientistor software robot trainer, which causes dynamic changes in the labor market of IT itself and software-based sectors, e.g. fintech, govtech, computer games, virtual sectors and augmented reality. The dynamics of economic and social changes caused by the implementation of digital technologies in all areas of life causes a permanent demand for specialists in this field. One of the key tasks of education is therefore to provide young people with conditions to develop IT skills

Rozwój gospodarki opartej na wiedzy wiąże się nierozerwalnie z rozwojem branży IT. Co jakiś czas powstają nowe specjalizacje informatyczne takie jak np. architekt danych, analityk danych (data scientist), czy trener robotów programowych, co powoduje dynamiczne zmiany na rynku pracy samej informatyki oraz sektorów bazujących na oprogramowaniu, np. sektory fintech, govtech, gier kompu-terowych, wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości. Dynamika zmian gospodarczych i społecznych wywołanych wdrażaniem technologii cyfrowych do wszystkich obszarów życia powoduje perma-nentne zapotrzebowanie na specjalistów w tej dziedzinie. Jednym z kluczowych zadań edukacji jest więc zapewnienie młodym ludziom warunków do rozwijania uzdolnień informatycznych

Purpose: Employee competences nowadays, when management methods are dynamically changing become one of the key elements of building competitive advantage. IT activities play an important role in business operations. Information flow, response to external stimuli with the help of IT department is becoming an important element of building competitive advantage of enterprises. Hence, it becomes important that the right people with appropriate social competences manage and work in IT departments. Design/methodology/approach: Social competences at work were identified on the basis of job advertisements on internet portals. The observation was made at the turn of April-June 2018. The study was repeated in January 2018. Findings: The article presents a list of social competences that are necessary among IT department employees. Originality/value: The work concerns social competences of IT department employees. The original is an attempt to select social competences for employees of IT departments. The exclusion of IT competences from the research allowed to examine whether there are differences between employees of individual departments in the enterprise.

Kompetencje pracownicze w dzisiejszych czasach, w których dynamicznie zmieniają się metody zarządzania stają się jednym z kluczowych elementów budowy przewagi konkurencyjnej. W działalności przedsiębiorstw ważną rolę pełni działalność informatyczna. Przepływ informacji, reakcja na bodźce zewnętrzne przy pomocy działu IT staje się ważnym elementem budowy przewagi konkurencyjnej przedsiębiorstw. Stąd ważne staje się, aby odpowiedni ludzie, z odpowiednimi kompetencjami zarządzali i pracowali w działach IT. Artykuł składa się z dwóch części. Część pierwsza stanowi teoretyczne mówienie terminologii kompetencji. Druga stanowi próbę wyłonienia kompetencji informatycznych.

The information flow, reaction on impulses from envirionment with help of IT Department is an importatnt aspect of builidng competitive advantage. That attitude causes thet proper poeple with proper competences manage nad work in IT Departments. The article contains two parts. First part is a theoretical approach to compoetences. The other part contains an attempt od showing IT cometences.

The needs determined by the rapidly changing world, which is based on the knowledge-based economy, pose new, difficult challenges for the school. The main task of educational systems is to prepare the young generation for quick adaptation to the dynamically taking place. In such a situation, it is necessary to develop independence, activity, creativity, a sense of agency and coping with new, often difficult life situations, which requires a new approach to the process of shaping the personality of the young generation and reorienting the didactic and educational process in the course of providing knowledge to the search for knowledge. Contemporary teachers, who are very often initiators, creators and implementers of the didactic and educational process, have been assigned specific tasks in this regard. For the implementation of the model of education, the foundation of which is the constructivist trend, teaching social and IT competences are particularly important. Therefore, it is extremely important to diagnose them in order to improve the process of teacher education in this area.

Potrzeby determinowane przez szybko zmieniający się świat, którego podstawą jest gospodarka oparta na wiedzy, stawiają przed szkołą nowe, niełatwe wyzwania. Podstawowym zadaniem systemów edukacyjnych jest bowiem przygotowanie młodego pokolenia do szybkiej adaptacji do zachodzących dynamicznie przeobrażeń. Konieczne w takiej sytuacji jest kształtowanie samodzielności, aktywności, kreatywności, poczucia sprawczości oraz radzenia sobie w nowych, nierzadko trudnych sytuacjach życiowych, co wymaga nowego podejścia do procesu kształtowania osobowości młodego pokolenia oraz przeorientowania procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego z toku podającego na tok poszukiwania wiedzy. Szczególnymi zadaniami w tym zakresie zostali obarczeni współcześni nauczyciele, którzy bardzo często są jednocześnie inicjatorami, twórcami oraz realizatorami procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego. Dla realizacji modelu edukacji, którego fundamentem jest nurt konstruktywistyczny, szczególnie istotne są nauczycielskie kompetencje społeczne oraz informatyczne. Dlatego niezwykle ważne jest ich diagnozowanie w celu doskonalenia procesu edukacji nauczycielskiej w tym zakresie.
