A new eutardigrade, Isohypsibius archangajensis sp. nov. is described from a moss sample collected in Mongolia. The new species is similar to I. barbarae Pilato et Binda, 2002 and I. undulatus Thulin, 1928 but it differs from them by the presence of shallow depressions forming the reticular design on the dorsal and lateral cuticle, lower number of dorsal undulations, larger body size, stylet supports inserted on the buccal tube in more caudal position, wider buccal tube and longer placoids.

Based on the original species descriptions, a review of the genus Paramacrobiotus was conducted. We divided the genus into two subgenera, Microplacoidus subgen. nov. and Paramacrobiotus subgen. nov., based on the presence or absence of a microplacoid, and characterized species within the genus based on seven different types of eggs. In a moss sample collected in Ecuador, Paramacrobiotus (Paramacrobiotus) spinosus sp. nov., was found. The new species differs from all species of the subgenus Paramacrobiotus by the presence of richtersi type eggs and from other species by morphometric characters. Additionally, in the Ecuadorian material we found P. (Microplacoidus) magdalenae comb, nov., which is the first record of this species in Ecuador, and we provide the full set of measurements for this species, not included in the original description. An additional new record is P. (M.) alekseevi comb. nov. found in Vietnam for the first time. After examining microscope slides from the Iharos’ collection deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, we prepared re-descriptions of P. (P.) csotiensis comb nov., P. (M.) submorulatus comb. nov. and P. (M.) wauensis comb. nov. Based on the morphological and morphometric characters of adults and eggs, we developed a diagnostic key to the genus Paramacrobiotus.

A new eutardigrade, Minibiotus eichhorni sp. nov. is described from moss samples collected in Peru. This species differs from the most similar Minibiotus vinciguerrae Binda et Pilato, 1992 mainly by having shorter, more robust claws, more elongated macroplacoids, smaller body size and narrower buccal tube.

A moss sample collected in the Dominican Republic contained tardigrades and their eggs, including adults and eggs of a new species, Macrobiotus barbarae sp. nov. The new species belongs to the harmsworthi group and it is most similar to M. ovostriatus Pilato et Patanè, 1998 and M. pseudonuragicus Pilato et al., 2004 in the character of egg areolation. It differs from M. ovostriatus above all by larger body size and wider buccal tube, better developed oral cavity armature (the first band of teeth is present and the second band of teeth forms a ring of triangular teeth) and indentation of hind lunulae. M. barbarae sp. nov. differs also from M. pseudonuragicus in details of the egg projections (in M. pseudonuragicus the terminal portion of processes is short, not elongated and divided into several short points whereas in the new species the terminal parts are elongated and generally not divided). Differences between the new species and other similar members of the harmsworthi group are also discussed.
