The article attempts to reconstruct in short Einstein’s views on the most important features of science and its functions and aims. The author presents Einstein’s views on the essence of education, his visions of the authentic scientist capable of creating science, the conception grasping science as intellectual activity, the essence of which is the purely cognitive function. Then the most significant cognitive and practical functions and aims of science, as viewed by Einstein, are presented.

The article is a reflection on conditions of existence of individual and collective, genius and non-genius creative power. Creative power is considered in relation to moral, political, economic, pedagogical and psychological conditions. Do these conditions allow creative potency to develop or rather they suppress it?I also reflect on possible hierarchy of genius: can creative power be more or less genius?
I try to answer a question opposite to Kant's question, namely I don't ask if the metaphysics is possible as the science, I ask if the science is possible as the metaphysics? I carry on controversy with Ted Harrison's metaphysics of intelligent design (with the metaphysics of projected universes).
