The article analyses a historical report from Cosmas’ Chronicle of Bohemians (Chronica Boemorum) which is related to 1116. It describes the conflict between the Czech Prince and the Hungarian King in a location which has so far been interpreted in various ways. The new definition of this location and the description of the course of the battle is based first on the new interpretation of a part of the text in the chronicle and second on the accurate description of landscape details where the battle took place in author’s opinion. A significant role in the whole solution is played by thoroughfares related to the event described in Cosmas’ chronicle.
