In his study author deals with activities of Yugoslav pilot Arsenije Boljević in the Slovak National Uprising in 1944. Boljević (born in Montenegro in 1904) graduated from the Military Academy in 1925 and the pilot school in 1928. As an air force major pilot, he participated in the April War in 1941 in defence against the attacks of Nazi Germany. After his capture, he spent several years in camps throughout Eastern Europe. At the end of August 1944, he managed to escape from the camp and join the Slovak insurgents in Banská Bystrica. His life tragically ended in a traffic accident in 1953.
