In this paper we want to reflect on the role of education and social communication in counteracting the development of conflicts between different value systems - and specifically in counteraction of their radicalization. It examines the issues raised by the proliferation of worldview extremism through new electronic forms of information and communication, and the simplification of social communication processes. It tries to show in which way, with the use of socio-pedagogic means, it is possible to counteract these alarming phenomena. Some of the ideas on these general issues are supported with short presentations of of specific modern axiological conflicts which can be seen as an illustration in part of the issues raised herein.
