New localities of 22 species of Leiodidae in the Kampinos National Park are presented, among them 13 species new for the studied area. Six species have been recorded from the Mazovian Lowland for the first time: Anemadus strigosus, Agathidium confusum, Amphicyllis globus, Amphicyllis globiformis, Anisotoma orbicularis and Colenis immunda.

During the years 1997-1999, the numbers and biomass of earthworms in the soil of pastures fertilized with compost at 30 t ha⁻¹ or with mineral fertilizers at the dose corresponding with the quantity of nitrogen in compost (150 kg ha⁻¹) situated in the area of Mazury Landscape Park in northeastern Poland was studied. The number and biomass of earthworms were significantly larger at the pasture treated with organic fertilization than at the pasture treated with mineral fertilization at (P < 0.05); the average number was higher by 1.2 times (351-418 individuals m⁻² and 279-349 individuals m⁻²), biomass by 1.4 times (142.4-173.0 g m⁻² and 103.3-119.5 g m⁻²). In both pastures presence of three earthworm species: Apporectodea caliginosa, Lumbricus terrestris, Apporectodea rosea was found. Apporectodea caliginosa was the dominating species (77.0-93.2% of total number). The number and biomass of that species during the entire period of the experiment were significantly higher at the pasture treated by organic fertilization than at the pasture treated with mineral fertilization. On the other hand the number of Lumbricus terrestris possessing the share of 6.6-22.4% did not show any relation to fertilization type.

W latach 1997-1999 badano liczebność i biomasę dżdżownic w glebie pastwisk położonych w północno-wschodniej Polsce, na obszarze Mazurskiego Parku Krajobrazowego. Pastwiska były nawożone kompostem w dawce 30 t ha⁻¹ albo mineralnie w dawce odpowiadającej ilości azotu w kompoście (150 kg ha⁻¹). Liczebność i biomasa dżdżownic były istotnie większe na pastwisku nawożonym organicznie niż mineralnie (P < 0,05), średnio liczebność 1,2-krotnie (351-418 os. m⁻² i 279-349 os. m⁻²), biomasa – 1,4-krotnie (142,4-173,0 g m⁻² i 103,3-119,5 g m⁻²).

New distributional records of seven genera and fifteen species of Caenoscelini and Cryptophagini in Poland are presented. Caenoscelis sibirica, C. subdeplanata and Sternodea baudii are among the most interesting cryptophagids recently found in new localities and previously reported from 1-2 sites in Poland only. Remarks concerning identification of Caenoscelis species are given, and the aedeagi of C. sibirica and C. ferruginea are illustrated.

The occurrence of Omonadus bifasciatus (ROSSI, 1792) in Poland has been confirmed after 100 years. Detailed data on collecting circumstances is reported and the list of accompanying beetle species is given. The bionomy and habitat preferences of O. bifasciatus are discussed on the basis of literature and unpublished data.

New faunistic records of 14 species of Mycetophagidae from Poland are given. Litargus balteatus and Typhaea stercorea are newly recorded from the Masurian Lake District. Litargus balteatus, Triphyllus bicolor and Typhaea stercorea are new for the Pomeranian Lake District. Mycetophagus fulvicollis is newly reported from the Mazowiecka Lowland and Trzebnickie Hills. Mycetophagus decempunctatus and M. multipunctatus are recorded for the first time from the Mazowiecka Lowland and Western Sudety Mts., respectively.

New distributional records of 10 species of Dermestinae and Trinodinae in Poland, based on the author`s and contributor`s own data, are presented. Altogether the data comprise 188 localities, which cover 19 (out of 25) regions proposed in the Catalogue of Polish Fauna, and 146 UTM 10×10 km squares. Most of the species considered in this paper have been recorded for the first time from at least one region in the country. From the Świętokrzyskie Mts. the newly reported are Dermestes frischii, D. laniarius, D. undulatus and Trinodes hirtus. New to the Sandomierz Lowland are Dermestes bicolor, D. frischii and D. undulatus. Newly reported from the Eastern Sudety Mts. are D. lardarius and D. murinus. The following species respectively are new to the other five regions: D. ater to Lower Silesia, D. bicolor to Kraków-Wieluń Upland, D. lardarius to Nowy Targ Basin and D. undulatus to Masurian Lake District and Podlasie. The records of Dermestinae from the Eastern Sudety Mts. and Nowy Targ Basin are the first ones from these regions.
