Lech Witkowski’s book is not a conventional monograph on classic of Polish education. It is a dense and a dynamic text which provokes to thinking about the gravity of interpretation. The Author demands the recognition of format of Helena Radlińska and shows the modernity of her ideas (eg. culture as soil, attitude of melioration, invisible environment). In this way he broadens the horizon of imagination in pedagogy and education. He also detonates a common meanings to design more advanced research. Lech Witkowski’s text leads to consideration of diff erent variants of the humanistic gravitation: 1) a gravity of the book Invisible environment as a great intellectual working skills; 2) a gravity of the works of Radlińska as a cultural classic of pedagogy; 3) a gravity of the theory as a normative effect, rather than one of the ordinary consumer offers.
