This article constitutes a survey of the features of the local dialect of Warmia which is based on the composition written by Walenty Barczewski. In this work the features of phonetic, word formation and inflection of the local dialect are discussed. The problem of vocalism shows phonetic features of the dialect including all kinds of vowels and contracted forms. The analysis of consonants consist of the describtion of bilabial, alvedar, affricate, velar and groups of consonants. The analysis of word formation of words that belong to the dialect presents tendencies of forms that considerably differ from the literary language. The analysis of inflection depict the influence of phonetic processes on the inflection of words and occurence of specific inflection forms of the dialect of Warmia. The final part presents the conclusion of the research.
