Referat stanowi omówienie trzydniowych, piątych warsztatów EAAE-ENHSA2 - Wenecja 2006, na których dyskutowano na temat problemów współczesnego nauczania studentów wydziałów architektury i budownictwa. W ramach warsztatów podjęto próbę zdefiniowania potrzeb w nauczaniu przedmiotów, takich jak konstrukcje budowlane, budownictwo i projektowanie architektoniczne. W dyskusji wzięli udział zarówno reprezentanci europejskich ośrodków akademickich kształcących w tych dziedzinach nauki, jak i przedstawiciele biur projektowych oraz producentów materiałów budowlanych wykorzystujących nowe technologie.

The paper is a report of 5th workshops EAAE - ENHSA in Venice, which was a discussion on contemporary teaching problems on construction and architecture departments. During the workshop there was taken an effort to define the needs of contemporary requires, such as building structures, building engineering and architectural design. The representatives of European academic centers teaching these disciplines and representatives of designers and producers of building materials took part in the discussion.

The following commercial PAN fibres: Aksa, Crumeron and Nitron, with different copolymer composition, manufactured with the use of various processes of polymerization and fibre spinning were treated with hot air, water and steam. The aim of this paper is to assess the effect of thermal and hydrothermal treatments of the fibres under investigation on their dye absorption capability. Changes in dyeing properties of the above mentioned fibres were determined with the using of Celliton Rosa FF3B as an indicator.

An attempt has been undertaken to assess the influence of low-temperature thermal treatment of PAN fibres, manufactured with the use of various processes of polymerization and fibre spinning, on their dye absorption capability. Based on the performed measurements one may conclude that the thermal and hydrothermal treatment brings about changes in dye absorption capability of the fibres under investigation. The extent of these changes depends on the type of fibres and treatment conditions such as heat-transfer medium, temperature and treatment duration.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the effect of thermal treatment on the mechanical properties of the PAN fibres that are characterized by various initial structure. Based on the performed measurements one can draw the general conclusion: the thermal and hydro-thermal treatment causes changes in both molecular and supermolecural structure of the fibres under investigation and is reflected in changes of the initial coefficient of tensile modulus and breaking elongation. The extent of these changes is cleary dependent on the both kind of fibre and conditions of treatment.
