Liturgy is a particular space of contact between theology and law. Despite of the fact that certain people are of the opinion that it should be limited only to a purely mystical dimension, as it is perceived as a special kind of prayer, its form is in fact precisely defined by the standards of church law. Critical assessment of the 1983 Code of Canon Law must also take into account the objective statement that not every precept defined and contained therein accurately reflects the sensus Ecclesiae of the founders and participants of the Second Vatican Council. This is the case with can. 838 of the Code of Canon Law. The standards relating to adaptation and accommodation contained therein and defining the principles of cooperation between the Holy See and local conferences of bishops, required agreement with the provisions already adopted as part of the deliberations of the Second Vatican Council. Therefore, by virtue of the apostolic letter of the motu proprio Magnum principium, the Pope made appropriate changes that made the cooperation of the Holy See and the Conference of Bishops even more efficient and more fruitful in the service of the faithful. Moreover, thanks to this amendment, the liturgical prayer is to be more adapted to the understanding of people.

Liturgia stanowi przestrzeń szczególnego spotkania teologii i prawa. Nawet, jeśli niektórym wydaje się, że powinna być ona ograniczona tylko do wymiaru czysto mistycznego, bo widzi się w niej specjalny rodzaj modlitwy, to w rzeczywistości jej kształt jest dokładnie określony przez normy prawa kościelnego. Krytyczna ocena Kodeksu Prawa Kanonicznego z 1983 r. musiała uwzględnić obiektywne stwierdzenie, że nie każdy przepis w nim określony i zawarty oddał w sposób precyzyjny sensus Ecclesiae twórców i uczestników Soboru Watykańskiego II. Tak było chociażby w przypadku kan. 838 KPK/83. Zawarte w nim normy odnoszące się do adaptacji i akomodacji oraz określające zasady współpracy pomiędzy Stolicą Apostolską a lokalnymi konferencjami biskupów wymagały uzgodnienia z przepisami przyjętymi już w ramach obrad Soboru Watykańskiego II. Dlatego na mocy listu apostolskiego motu proprio Magnum principium papież dokonał stosownych zmian, które uczyniły współpracę Stolicy Apostolskiej i konferencji biskupów jeszcze sprawniejszą i bardziej owocną w służbie wiernym. Ponadto dzięki tej nowelizacji modlitwa liturgiczna ma być bardziej przystosowana do zrozumienia ludzi.

The aim of this study was to conduct an epidemiological and laboratory surveillance of Influenza-Like Illnesses (ILI) in Polish Armed Forces, civilian military personnel and their families in 2011/2012 epidemic season, under the United States Department of Defense-Global Emerging Infections Surveillance and Response System (DoD-GEIS). ILI incidence data were analyzed in relation to age, gender, patient category as well as pathogen patterns. Multiple viral, bacterial and viral-bacterial co-infections were identified. Nose and throat swabs of active duty soldiers in the homeland country and in the NATO peacekeeping forces KFOR (Kosovo Force), as well as members of their families were tested for the presence of viral and bacterial pathogens. From October 2011 to May 2012, 416 specimens from ILI symptoms patients were collected and analyzed for the presence of viral and bacterial pathogens. Among viruses, coronavirus was the most commonly detected. In the case of bacterial infections, the most common pathogen was Staphylococcus aureus.
