Independent work of students of philology in the distance learning forms the readiness for self-education, creates a basis for continuing education and the opportunity constantly improve their skills. At the present stage, the issue of organizing independent work of students is of great importance, because the budget of time allocated for classroom activities is limited, and much of the program material requires submission for independent study. Therefore, the orientation of the process of professional training in higher educational institutions on the optimization and activation of independent work of students becomes relevant. Because, independent work is a mandatory component of the educational process, the result of which is to increase the level of knowledge of students, the formation of the ability to think independently and make adequate decisions.
