Every year a very large number of people die on the roads. From year to year, the value decreases, there are still a very high number of them. The pandemic has reduced the number of road accidents, but the value is still very high. For this reason, it is necessary to know under which weather conditions the highest number of road accidents occur, and to know the forecast of accidents according to the prevailing weather conditions for the coming years, in order to be able to do everything possible to minimize the number of road accidents. The purpose of the article is to make a forecast of the number of road accidents in Poland depending on the prevailing weather conditions. The research was divided into two parts. The first was the analysis of annual data from the Police statistics on the number of road accidents in Poland in 2001-2021, and on this basis the forecast of the number of road accidents for 2022-2031 was determined. The second part of the research, dealt with monthly data from 2007-2021. Again, the analyzed forecast for the period January 2022-December 2023 was determined. The results of the study indicate that we can still expect a decline in the number of accidents in the coming years, which is particularly evident when analyzing annual data. It is worth noting that the prevailing pandemic distorts the results obtained. The research was conducted in MS Excel, using selected trend models.

Every year, a large number of traffic accidents occur on Polish roads. However, the pandemic of recent years has reduced the number of these accidents, although the number is still very high. For this reason, all measures should be taken to reduce this number. This article aims to forecast the number of road accidents in Poland. Thus, using Statistica software, the annual data on the number of road accidents in Poland were analyzed. Based on actual past data, a forecast was made for the future, for the period 2022-2040. Forecasting the number of accidents in Poland was conducted using selected neural network models. The results show that a reduction in the number of traffic accidents is likely. The choice of the number of random samples (learning, testing and validation) affects the results obtained.

Every year, more and more vehicles appear on the world's roads. This leads to increased traffic on the roads. Road accidents have become a rapidly growing threat. They cause loss of human life and economic assets. This is due to the rapid growth of the world's human population and the very rapid development of motorization. The main problem in forecasting and analyzing data on the number of traffic accidents is the small size of the dataset that can be used for analysis in this regard. And on the other hand, road accidents cause, globally, millions of deaths and injuries annually is their density in time and space. It is worth noting that the pandemic has reduced the number of traffic accidents. However, the value is still very high. The purpose of the article is to assess the impact of information on the number of traffic accidents on the outcome of the forecast. To this end, using historical statistical data, the forecast of the number of traffic accidents for the following years was determined, and how this variability of the input data affects the value of the average percentage error of the forecast was determined. Based on the study, it can be concluded that a smaller number of input data, historical data on the number of accidents, instead of 32 years, 7 years, makes the determination of the forecast of the number of accidents for subsequent years, is at a satisfactory level, the average absolute percentage error of MAPE less than 7%. The article concludes with the determination of the forecast for future years. It is worth noting that the prevailing pandemic distorts the results obtained.

Every year, on Polish roads, many deaths occur. In the best case scenario, only the vehicle is damaged. The number of road accidents is extremely high. Road safety is mainly affected by the reckless behavior of pedestrians at street crossings. Undoubtedly, road safety is an important issue. The aim of this article is to analyze the behavior of pedestrians at crossings and to evaluate the function of pedestrian crossings. For this purpose, a questionnaire study was conducted, in which respondents were asked whether they take precautions and whether they use cell phones at pedestrian crossings. Moreover, an assessment was performed of the safety of a selection of pedestrian crossings: whether they are well lit, and whether the respondents have been involved in a traffic accident. From the analysis of the survey, it can be concluded that the number of pedestrians taking precautions at pedestrian crossings averaged 86.46%; 25.69% of the respondents admitted that they have used a cell phone at a pedestrian crossing. In addition, the survey confirmed that the most dangerous pedestrian crossings are those that do not have traffic lights. It was also found that those who have a driver's license should actually be more vigilant at pedestrian crossings when driving.

Purpose: The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the extent to which real-time monitoring of vehicles and the collection of operational data about them through telematic systems can contribute to the reduction of operating costs in a transport company. The study focuses on specific factors such as the driver's actions, which can affect the vehicle's technical condition and diesel consumption levels. Methodology: The research is based on an analysis of operational data obtained from the vehicles of a transport company engaged in international freight transportation. The data were primarily analyzed for an indicator related to total fuel (diesel) consumption while driving. Linear models were created using the least squares method, and the best-fitting models were selected to draw conclusions about the impact of telematic systems on the company's costs. Results: The study found that the introduction of a telematic system can have a positive impact on a transport company's operations and help reduce costs associated with the execution of transport orders. The analysis of the data showed that individual factors, such as driving time, average axle load, and average travel speed, can affect the total driving fuel consumption of all vehicles and contribute to the overall cost reduction. Theoretical contribution: This paper contributes to the understanding of the role of telematic systems in the optimization of fleet planning and management, which is a crucial aspect of the logistics of transporting goods. The research provides insights into the potential of real-time monitoring and data collection for improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of transport companies. Practical implications: The findings of this study can be useful for transport companies looking to improve their operations and reduce costs. The research highlights the importance of using telematic systems in the right way to carry out the transportation of goods and suggests that real-time monitoring and data analysis can be key to minimizing costs and maximizing profits.

This article aims to examine the emission of pollutants utilising transport in different points of the city in question at two different intervals, then show whether the means of transport negatively affects the city through pollution. The study of air pollutant emissions from transport sources is a key aspect towards solving problems related to environmental pollution. A study on the measurements of selected PM10 and PM2.5 pollutants to be able to determine the quality of air from transport sources in Pila at different times of the year and with appropriate assumptions regarding the appropriate distance by the road is included in this article. This study analysed data on air pollutants and compared it with the results of the Chief Inspectorate for Environmental Protection. This made it possible to propose solutions for the development of the air condition in Pila.

Czas pracy kierowcy jest nieodzownym elementem wykonywania transportu drogowego. W artykule omówione zostaną przepisy prawne normujące problematykę czasu pracy kierowców oraz możliwości rejestracji tego czasu przez odpowiednie urządzenia rejestrujące. Na podstawie danych udostępnionych przez przedsiębiorstwo, analizie poddana zostanie ilość i wysokość kar nałożonych na poszczególnych kierowców w danym okresie czasu. W poniższym artykule przytoczone będą również przykłady, jak skutecznie zmniejszać, bądź nawet wyeliminować ilość popełnianych wykroczeń. Omówienie tego tematu posłużyć ma zrozumieniu, jak istotny w dziedzinie transportu jest czas pracy kierowców i jak wielką odpowiedzialnością zostają obciążeni kierowcy wykonujący operację transportową.

Driver's working time is an indispensable element of road transport. The article will discuss legal regulations for the drivers' working time and the possibility of registering this time by appropriate recording devices. Based on the data provided by the company, the number and amount of penalties imposed on individual drivers in a given period of time will be analyzed. The following article will also provide examples of how to effectively reduce or even eliminate the number of offenses committed. Discussing this topic will serve to understand how important in the field of transport is the working time of drivers and how much responsibility is put on a driver performing a transport operation.

A sustainable transportation development plan is a strategic document that is created to guarantee convenient conditions in terms of the mobility of users and to ensure all other aspects that aim to improve the quality of life in the city. It is created on the basis of existing planning practices, using documents that already exist in this area and with the participation of various social groups. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to analyze sustainable public transportation development plans for selected 10 municipalities in Poland. The authors will analyze the sustainable development plans of these cities, try to find common features in them, and suggest how a given plan can be expanded to seek better solutions for creating sustainable urban mobility to replace previously developed transportation plans.

The article concerns the study of communication behavior of high school and university students in Piła and Chodzież counties. The main problem is the mobility preferences of pupils and students. The article characterizes the concept of city, urban transport and mobility, and then proposes a mobility model that takes into account the preferences of residents when choosing the means of transport. The article ends with a presentation of survey results and drawing appropriate conclusions. They will help in presenting the proposed directions of development of transport infrastructure in the Piła and Chodzież counties. The aim of the article is to assess the communication behavior of high school and university students and the ways of their movement.

Every year, there is a decline in the number of car accidents reported in Poland, the Czech Republic, and globally. While recent trends due to the pandemic have influenced these figures, the overall rate remains significant. Therefore, it is crucial to take measures aimed at reducing this number. The primary focus of this article is to analyze the traffic accident statistics for Poland and the Czech Republic. Annual data regarding traffic incidents in both countries has been scrutinized to achieve this. Projections for 2024 to 2030 have been developed based on police reports. Various neural network models were utilized to forecast the number of accidents. The findings indicate that the number of traffic incidents is likely to stabilize. This stabilization can be viewed in the context of the increasing number of vehicles on the roads and the expansion of new highways. Additionally, selecting sample sizes for training, testing, and validation is crucial in influencing the results. Forecasting the number of traffic accidents is important for environmental protection, as accidents can lead to air and water pollution and increase noise, negatively affecting human health and ecosystems.

Every year too many people lose their lives and health on Polish roads. At best, it only ends with damage to their cars. The number of accidents is very high. Despite the construction of new, safer roads, the number of collisions continues to rise, and death, every year, is suffered by about three thousand accident participants. On average, forty-one thousand people are injured annually. The main causes of accidents are failure to adjust speed to prevailing conditions or traffic regulations, driving under the influence of alcohol and random events, as well as the technical condition of the vehicles. The purpose of the article is to answer the question of how the technical condition of the vehicles affects traffic safety. For this reason, an assessment of the technical condition of vehicles during a periodic examination at a vehicle inspection station was made. Based on the study, it can be concluded that the largest percentage of defects detected during the examination is in the tire 40% and steering 40%, defects that are particularly important from the point of view of traffic safety, which were demonstrated during the examination.

Przeprowadzono optymalizację magazynu wyrobów gotowych oraz magazynu zewnętrznego, po której zaprezentowano całkowity koszt inwestycji. Every year, a lot of people lose their lives and health on Polish roads, which at best ends up damaging the car. Resultantly, the high rate of accidents prompted this study in conjunction with the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piła to analyse road traffic safety in the Piła poviat. To this end, road events occurring in Poland and in the Piła poviat were analysed. In addition, the most common types of road incidents were identified alongside the main reasons for their occurrence. By analysing traffic incidents, a map of the most dangerous streets in Piła was created. A survey was conducted to verify the statistical data presented on the state of safety in the Piła poviat. The survey on road safety in the Piła poviat was created in cooperation with the Poviat Police Headquarters in Piła and was conducted among the residents of the Piła poviat. Inhabitants of the Piła poviat feel safe on the roads along the roads of their poviat.
