Starting school is one of the most important development stages in childhood. The main factor determining the child’s readiness for school is its normal motor development. It is the basis for further harmonious physical, mental, social, and even spiritual development. The aim of this paper is to characterize the proper motor development of a child and to present how to recognize the impaired motor skills. Knowledge and skills in this area will allow parents, educators, teachers and school to create proper conditions for training and choose an education path supporting this important process.
