The article begins with a succinct characteristic of the political position of the Council of Ministers as determined by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland dated 2 April 1997. The next portion of the text discusses the constitutional program of the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość [PiS, Eng. Law and Justice] party in 2003. It is an introduction to presenting the suggested political position of the government in non-parliamentary party projects of the Constitution in the years 2004–2013 (five texts publically available). Particular attention was devoted to PiS drafts of the Basic Law of 2005 and 2010 as coming from the ruling party in the years 2005–2007 and again since 2015.

The article characterises various postulates in religious matters included in eleven constitutional projects from 1989 to 1991. The ground-breaking significance for constitutional legislation of three religious acts which were passed on 17 May 1989 has been pointed out. An attempt has been made to determine to what extent the postulates concerning religious issues contained in the constitutional drafts and provisions of the religious acts were reflected in the text of the Constitution of 1997.

Im Artikel werden verschiedene Postulate in Bezug auf die Glaubensfragen charakterisiert, die in den elf Verfassungsentwürfen aus den Jahren 1989-1991 enthalten waren. Hingewiesen wurde auf die entscheidende Bedeutung von drei Glaubensgesetzen für die verfas- sungsrechtliche Gesetzgebung, die am 17. Mai 1989 verabschiedet wurden. Man versuchte festzustellen, inwiefern die die Glaubensfragen betreffenden Postulate, die in den Verfassungsentwürfen enthalten waren, und die Bestimmungen von Glaubensgesetzen im Inhalt des Grundgesetzes von 1997 widergespiegelt wurden.

Dokonano charakterystyki zróżnicowanych postulatów w sprawach wyznaniowych zamieszczonych w jedenastu projektach konstytucyjnych z lat 1989 – 1991 r. Wskazano na przełomowe znaczenie trzech ustaw wyznaniowych uchwalonych 17 maja 1989 r. na ustawodawstwo konstytucyjne. Podjęto próbę ustalenie, w jakim stopniu postulaty dotyczące zagadnień wyznaniowych zawarte w projektach konstytucyjnych i przepisy ustaw wyznaniowych znalazły odzwierciadlenie w tekście ustawy zasadniczej z 1997 r.
