The article presents general procedure leading to local evaluation of destruction in the monument. It should be noted that this assessment includes not comparable processes, therefore, the author proposed the separation of partial assessments on condition of construction (walls, roof truss) and of the destruction assessment of the monument decor. In practice, it is assumed that each of the unfavorable partial requires conservator intervention.

The paper presents the analysis of the polychrome surface changes as a result of photochemical reactions induced by luminous energy flux. After modification of the classical Lambert - Beera formula, for the multiple centre case we obtain an estimation of development of the polychrome surface damage.

The paper presents the comparison of the geometrical properties of porous material and fibrous material with the same fiber diameters and the radius of capillaries. The comparison shows that the geometrical configuration of the fibrous material compared to the porous material induce the effect of suction of the liquid at the contact of these two materials.

Stationary heat flow in the solid and cracked neigh bouring parts of masonry is compared in the work. On this basis a possible difference of temperatures on the surface of brickwork parts is estimated and conditions deciding about efficiency of thermal identification of layers in the investigated masonry walls.
