W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań, które przeprowadzono w celu rozwiązania głównego problemu badawczego wyrażanego w postaci pytania: Jak prawidłowo wykorzystywać zaawansowane środki koordynacji działań? Do rozwiązania problemu badawczego wykorzystano teoretyczne i empiryczne metody badawcze takie, jak: synteza, analiza, porównanie oraz wywiad ekspercki1. Na podstawie wyników badań przedstawiono charakterystykę zaawansowanych środków koordynacji działań tzw. Kill Boxów wykorzystywanych do realizacji ognia połączonego (ang. Joint Fire – JF).

The article presents the results of research carried out in order to solve the main research problem expressed in the form of the question: How to properly use advanced means of coordinating activities? Theoretical and empirical research methods such as synthesis, analysis, comparison and expert interview were used to solve the research problem. On the basis of the research results, the characteristics of advanced means of coordinating the activities of the so-called Kill Boxes used to execute Joint Fire (JF). Their types, organization and management are described in relation to the fire and airspace statuses. The publication mentions the method of planning and preparing Kill Boxes, which may be helpful in future Polish and allied military operations. The conclusions presented arguments classifying the Kill Box as a means of coordination dedicated to the operational command level, and due to the significant differences in definition and practice, the need for a deeper analysis of these measures and the examination of their characteristics and properties was proposed.

This article analyzes the principles and organization of the operation of the military runways used by Polish and Allied aircrafts during missions in Iraq. The main goal of the article is to describe the organization and method of air traffic management by the Polish air traffic controllers (ATC). It depicts the method of planning and preparing aviation operations, the principles of air traffic organization, which were the responsibility of the Polish controllers, and the rules for the traffic above the airstrip. Among the particular problems that are discussed, there are the rules of airspace segmentation, the introduced solutions for air traffic control, and the use of airport infrastructure. The experiences discussed include valuable information regarding the process of securing air traffic that can be helpful in the organization of landing pad sand in preparation of both Polish and allied military contingent aviation personnel for future aboard operations. This paper presents the results of the research carried out with the ATC personnel performing tasks in Iraq.

The aim of the article is to present the characteristics of airstrips used by Polish and allied aircraft during military operations in Chad and Afghanistan. The main goal is to examine their organisation and the management of air traffic by Polish ATC staff as well as to answer the question: How did Polish controllers plan the air operation? Answers to this question were sought through empirical and theoretical research. The theoretical methods were a study of literature (analysis, synthesis, abstraction, generalisation, interpretation, analogy and comparison). The empirical method – “opinion poll” took the leading role, which used different techniques conducted in a tested environment to gather the data (interviews with experts and an ex post facto experiment). Consequently, the article looks at the method of planning and preparing air operations and the rules of air traffic organisation in the area of responsibility of Polish controllers. The selected issues discussed herein include the rules of airspace segmentation, the adopted air traffic control solutions and the landing zone infrastructure used. All in all, the experience discussed herein constitutes valuable information regarding air traffic security and may prove helpful in organising landing zones and preparing air personnel for future operations conducted by Polish and allied Military Contingents at home and abroad.
