This publication focuses on the role of reconnaissance subunits in Polish Armed Forces and aims to outline all aspects of their training and service in overseas missions. It is hypothesized that appropriate training of reconnaissance subunits is essential to enable an effective overseas mis-sion. The paper consists of three main chapters which elaborate further on the above subject. The author focuses on defining the role of reconnais-sance units in the Polish Armed Forces, their specific training requirements in respect to the ability to carry out overseas missions and identification of potential obstacles which could arise while training to work abroad. The relevant literature was searched and legislation reviewed. The author was able to conclude that above hypothesis is correct and highlighted the par-amount importance of appropriate training of reconnaissance subunits as essential aspect of their overseas service. The publications includes fore-word, summary and alphabetic index of bibliography used.

Artykuł został poświęcony kwestiom zarządzania kryzysowego ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem lokalnych, powiatowych struktur w systemie zarządzania kryzysowego w Polsce. Autorzy dokładnie omówili zadania starosty oraz powoływanych przez niego zespołów. Najwięcej miejsca poświęcili jednak centrom zarządzania kryzysowego jako podmiotom odpowiedzialnym przede wszystkim za właściwy przepływ informacji, zarówno na etapie zapobiegania ewentualnym kryzysom, jak i w trakcie sytuacji kryzysowej, kiedy to przekazywanie aktualnych, rzetelnych i sprawdzonych informacji, nie tylko ułatwia koordynowanie prowadzonych działań, ale może mieć wręcz kluczowe znaczenie podczas próby opanowania sytuacji kryzysowej.

The article was devoted to the issues of crisis management, with particular emphasis on local, county structures in the crisis management system in Poland. The authors thoroughly discussed the tasks of the foreman and the teams hecreated. However, they devoted the most space to crisis management centers, as entities responsible above all for the proper flow of information both at the stage of preventing possible crises and during a crisis situation, when the transmission of up-to-date, reliable and verified information not only facilitates the coordination of activities, but may have even crucial significance when trying to control a crisis situation.
