The article discusses realistic development trends for effective international railway transportation between Ukraine and the EU countries based on the introduction of results of scientific and technical research on technical support for freight transportation in accordance with the transshipment-free technologies. In particular, there is a brief description of experience with European Automatic Gauge Changeover Systems (AGCS). This article presents information on scientific and technical projects for ensuring intermodal transportation based on technologies that involve the use of AGCS-technology. The prospects of development and practical application of similar systems with a view to accession of Ukraine to the railway transportation network of the European Union are discussed.

Artykuł przedstawia realistyczne trendy rozwoju efektywnego międzynarodowego transportu kolejowego pomiędzy Ukrainą a krajami Unii Europejskiej, opartych o wdrożenie wyników badań naukowych i technicznych, dotyczących technicznego wsparcia transportu towarowego zgodnie z technologiami bezprzeładunkowymi, a w szczególności doświadczenia związane z Europejskim Systemem Automatycznej Zmiany Rozstawu Kół (AGCS). Prezentowane są informacje na temat projektów naukowo-technicznych dotyczących transportu intermodalnego opartego o technologie, które polegają na wykorzystywaniu systemu AGCS. Dyskutowane są perspektywy rozwoju i praktycznego zastosowania podobnych systemów w świetle akcesji Ukrainy do sieci transportowej Unii Europejskiej.

The article presents method for assessment of the significance of factors of risk of the roiling stock derailment based on the computer experiment. The purpose of development of the method is to identify the most significant reasons for derailment among the possible mechanical reasons, i.e., those in the absence of which the derailment would not be possible. This includes the use of computer simulation of the dynamics of motion of separate railway rolling stocks and trains in general. Specifically designed dynamic models include the required parameters representing the state of railway rolling stock in operation. The proposed method can be used to analyze the tendency of the vehicle towards derailment according to the quantitative changes in safety parameters. The application of the developed method offer opportunities to find areas of further improvement of the running safety requirements in relation to the state of maintenance of freight cars and track and conditions of their rational operation to ensure an acceptable level of running safety.

Artykuł przedstawia metodę oceny czynników ryzyka wykolejenia się taboru, wykorzystującą symulacje komputerową. Celem opracowania tej metody jest identyfikacja najważniejszych przyczyn wykolejenia spowodowanego czynnikami mechanicznymi, tzn. takich, bez których wykolejenie byłoby niemożliwe. Metoda ta polega na użyciu komputerowej symulacji dynamiki ruchu poszczególnych części taboru i ogólnie pociągów. Modele dynamiczne, specjalnie do tego celu zaprojektowane, zawierają odpowiednie parametry przedstawiające stan taboru w trakcie eksploatacji. Proponowana metoda może zostać użyta do analizy tendencji pojazdu do wykolejenia, zgodnie z ilościowymi zmianami parametrów bezpieczeństwa. Zastosowanie zaproponowanej metody daje możliwości znalezienia takich obszarów dalszej poprawy wymogów bezpieczeństwa ruchu związanego z utrzymaniem wagonów towarowych, torów i warunków ich racjonalnej eksploatacji, ażeby można by było zapewnić akceptowalny (odpowiedni) poziom bezpieczeństwa ruchu.

The urgent need for deepening economic and social relations between the EU and Ukraine determines the priority of effective international rail traffic. Creating wagons gauge 1520/1435 mm (the "East-West" wagons) for non-transshipment transporting on different gauge standards with the use of automated transfer gauge system (ATGS) technology demands a wide range of research and feasibility studies for assessment and forecast of transportation markets between Ukraine and EU and introduction into circulation of rolling stock which would operate both on the 1435 mm and 1520 mm tracks. In these studies the positive results of transportation market assessment and pre-feasibility study were obtained that allowed articulate and prove the general requirements to wagons of 1520/1435 mm gauge and recommendations for the formation of the new rolling stock fleet of the "East-West" wagons.

Pilna potrzeba pogłębienia stosunków gospodarczych i społecznych między UE a Ukrainą określa priorytet skutecznej międzynarodowej komunikacji kolejowej. Tworzenie wagony torów 1520/1435 mm (wagony "Wschód-Zachód") dla bezprzeładunkowego transportu na różnych standardach toru z wykorzystaniem automatycznego systemu zmiany szerokości rozstawu (ATGS) wymaga szerokiego zakresu analiz i badań wykonalności, oceny i prognozy rynków transportowych między Ukrainą a UE i wprowadzania do obrotu taboru, które działają zarówno na torach szerokości 1435 mm i 1520 mm. W tych badaniach uzyskano pozytywne wyniki oceny rynku transportu i wstępnego studium wykonalności, które pozwoliły udowodnić ogólne wymagania dla wagonów 1520/1435 mm i zaleceń dla tworzenia nowej floty taboru "Wschód-Zachód".

The process of implementation of new developments, in particular, new generation rolling stock holds a prominent place among the range of measures for organization of high-speed passenger rail transportation in Ukraine. The example of permission for use and the initial phase of work with interregional NRCS2 dual-mode electric trains produced by Hyundai-Rotem Corporation is the illustrative one in this context. Due to the detection of macro-cracks in bolster beams of the car body frames of these electric trains, namely in the areas of mounting of anti-yaw dampers, these trains were taken out of service until the completion of the modernization of problematic nodes. The comprehensive study on the determination of the safety parameters of electric trains was conducted to determine the causes of destruction of bolster beams. At the same time, bolster beams loading was estimated depending on the characteristics of anti-yaw dampers by means of computer simulation of the dynamics of motion of trailing and motor cars. The feasibility of selection of parameters for anti-yaw dampers mounted on electric train cars was assessed. The results of work will improve the safe operation of high-speed trains and increase the efficiency of estimates regarding the loading of bearing structures of underframes of the of rolling stock.

The report presents the results of the research aimed at justification of expediency of creating a system of experimental evaluation of indicators of impact of the rolling stock on the rails. The proposed system is based on the measurements of the vertical and horizontal accelerations of the rails under a movement of the rolling stock on the raił track section. This system for monitoring rail accelerations that are emerging from the impact of the rolling stock in the track structure is expected to be used to identify vehicles with high impact on the rails due to their design and technical condition of the running gears, including the defects of the wheels. Some results of the pilot testing of the proposed system for the monitoring of the accelerations, which were registered by passing the train consisting of five units, are presented. And the computational algorithm of the specialized pre-processing of the multidimensional signal that is recorded by this system is described. The offered algorithm in automatic mode allows dividing the signal on the separate segments that are associated with the particular wheelsof a running train for subsequent analysis of each segment. This algorithm does not reąuire input data about the train speed on the track section that is eąuipped with the monitoring system, about the number of wheelsets of the running train, and about the distances between them. These data are calculated as a result of the algorithm execution, sińce they are absent under the operating conditions of the proposed system.

The paper considers the question of decrease in probability of slipping and skidding occurrence by controlling the friction in the contact "wheel-braking pad-rail". The variants of technical solutions on multifunctional (temperature, abrasive) controlling tribocontacts by of energy air, air-abrasive stream or pellets of dry ice, electrified sand supply are proposed.

W artykule zamieszczono informację o stanie rozwoju oprogramowania i sprzętu do oceny stanu technicznego pojazdów kolejowych.

The results of the evaluation of the running safety conditions of railway vehicles are presented by means of computer simulation. Analysis of the possible reasons for derailment by means of performance evaluation of rolling stock and track interaction are presented. The impact of the technical condition of the dampers on the running safety of passenger wagons is considered. The localization of possible damages of bearing structures of high-speed train is determined with the help of calculation of the strength characteristics and the method of non-destructive metallography. There is the information about the development of software and hardware complexes providing an instrumental assessment of the technical condition of railway vehicles. Portable device is proposed for measuring the static load of the wheels of the rolling stock units on the track. The work on creation of stationary devices for automatic wheels fault detection in order to reduce the time period from the appearance of the defect was conducted. The brainchild of the mobile system of controlling running tests and dynamic diagnostics of rolling stock was considered.
