Project SAGET was initiated at the Institute of Geodesy and Geodetic Astronomy WUT in 1986 as a long term geodynamical research programme with the aim to establish a network of precise traverses, which connect points located on various geotectonic units within Poland. In 1991 a concept was framed to extend the SAGET network so that it could reach other European satellite observatories and points. The main objectives of the EXTENDED SAGET Project are to connect Polish network SAGET to other satellite projects in Central Europe as well as the geodynamic networks of the Mediterranean Region and Scandinavia and create precise frame for studies on the Teisseyre - Tornquist zone and Carpatian Orogenic Belt. So far seven campaigns EXTENDED SAGET were organised every year from 1992 to 1998. Campaigns from 1994 to 1997 overlapped the CEGRN campaigns. All GPS observations were processed at the IGS Evaluation Centre / EUREF Local Analysis Centre at the IG&GA WUT. Results of last GPS campaign of EXTENDED SAGET`98 are first time presented in this poster.

The practical need for GNSS positioning in real time led to the development of a medium for data transmission. The experience in RTK and DGPS measurements using data transmissions by the INTERNET and GSM/GPRS radio link are presented in this paper.

This paper deals with different application of RTK-GPS methods for precise monitoring of the moving objects of different kind. The high accuracy of this method (which actually reaches a few centimetres) makes the possibility for much wider application as used until now. The authors performed the tests aimed at the investigation of the RTK measurements accuracy made in critical conditions (obstructions, multipath, etc.). This paper describes results of such tests, which were performed using manmanned models of VLLC in Warsaw and practice determination of the accuracy of the real-time kinematic GPS. It also presents the contemporary methods of the multipath elimination and the results of their practical application.

This paper deals with different application of RTK-GPS methods for precise monitoring of the moving objects of different kind. The high accuracy of this method (which actually reaches a few centimetres) makes the possibility for much wider application as used until now. One of such usage could be the simulation and monitoring ship's slow speed manoeuvres, tested by the authors. It describes results of such tests, which were performed using manmanned models of ferry and VLLC in Ship Handling Research and Training Centre in Iława, Poland and practice determination of the accuracy of the real-time kinematic GPS. One of the objectives of this paper is to recommend the kinematic method, by both the position in real time and postprocessing mode to use in moving objects monitoring. The current state of the telccommunication links allows us to build some kind of tracking system for moving objects monitoring in quasi-real time. The paper also discusses the optimal localisation of the base stations dedicated to such a monitoring system for Warsaw.

Astrogeodetic Obserratory of the Institute of Geodesy and Geodetic Astronomy of the Warsaw University of Technology in Józefoslaw was incorporated in 1957. In 1991 it was joint to the International GPS Service for Geodynamics (IGS) and started to operate as a permanent one in 1993. Since the following permanent services have been maintained: GPS observations using Trimble and Turbo Rogue receivers, tidal gravimetric observations with LaCoste&Romberg model D gravimeter and meteorological observations. Since 1995 WUT Local Analysis Centre, one of the 11 local Anarysis Centres acting in Europe, has started the systematic day-to-day processing of the selected number of European sites in the frame of the EUREF network, processes national and international GPS campaigns (CEGRN, EXTENDED, SAGET etc.), models ionosphere and troposphere parameters, compute tidal components and changes of the vertical according to astrometrical and gravimetric measurements. For last 4 years the Centre has processed and analysed many of scientific researches carried out in within the confines of the Central European Initiative (CEI). This paper presents current state of the art of the Observatory's activities. It deals with the acting of it and participating of the WUT Local Analysis Centre to the International scientific projects.

Astrogedodetic Observatory Józefoslaw was joined to the IGS in 1991 and started to the permanent service in 1993. To day GPS stations JOZE and JOZE working in the frame IGS/EUREF. JOZ2 station participate in IGLOS an EUREF IP pilot projects. Results of tidal gravimetric observations; absolute gravity measurements; changes of the vertical, based on the gravimetric measurements and astrometric observations; hydrological and meteorological observations are the base for study of local deformations model. The results of practical test of RTK and DGPS measurements using mobile phone for data transmission performed since 1998 are also presented in the paper. WUT EUREF Local Analysis Centre, one of the 16 Local Analysis Centres acting in Europe, is a very important part of the Observatory. The Centre makes continuous service of one-week solution in the frame of EUREF network, processes national and international GPS campaigns, models ionosphere and troposphere parameters. The part of this Centre is automatic service for GPS data processing. The results of mentioned above work are presented in the paper.
