The article explores the role of NGOs in solving social problems of families, children and youth, the main areas of activity, give a description of the legal framework on which civil society organizations in Ukraine are established and function. The paper reveals some general aspects of NGO social direction on nationwide and local levels: Foundation “Society Friends of Children”, Charitable organization “Every Child”, Volyn Regional Public Organization “We plus”, Volyn Regional Children’s NGO ‘Child Development Center”, Volyn Regional Charitable Foundation “Chance”.
