The existence of poorly shaped institutional system leads to a reduction in the efficiency of economy functioning and leaves a gap for creation of informal institutions, such as the corrupt behaviour. Corruption has a negative impact on the economy and society, affecting directly other elements of the institutional system, such as: investment, education, trade policy, political stability, public finances and institutional environment. The progress made in the techniques of measuring corruption, has created the possibility to estimate its impact on growth factors. The results of these analyses indicate the indirect negative impact of corruption on economic growth measured by gross domestic product (GDP). Still some researchers notice also a neutral or positive impact of corruption on economy.

The aim of this article is to show the ideas and threads present in the responsibility philosophy of the 20th century (exemplified with G. Picht, H. Jonas and D. Birnbacher), which are not only fundamental for the balanced development's concept, but - most of all - they are favourable to understanding it as a constant process of building interdisciplinary proposals in this scope. Origin and realization of the sustainable development idea would not be possible without responsibility ethics, which enables - to a higher degree than other ethical systems - to discuss global conditions of human life, currently and in distant future. Responsibility ethics, that also includes the natural environment, opposes the narrowly understood economic growth. Therefore, it draws attention to something more than just the man's interest.

The purpose of this article is to answer the questions: what is responsible leadership and what are the main qualities of leaders which cause that leadership become responsible. The author would like to present this problem because still few researchers pay attention to ethical and responsible conduct which should be the most important dimension of leadership. Leaders are responsible in many dimensions and their mental maturity and imagination are always needed. Their responsibilities are not only limited to the results of work, making decisions, employee safety, the environment or air pollution. Their responsibility exceeds beyond their official duties because they are also responsible as human beings.

(3) Corporate Social Responsibility is a concept that helps to improve quality management in an ethical perspective.
