The article focuses on the development of the education system in Uzbekistan after the country gained independence. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of the steps in the development of education within the state. Celem tego badania jest analiza współczesnego krajobrazu przedsiębiorczości kobiet w Uzbekistanie, kraju rozwijającym się w Azji Centralnej, w kontekście trwających reform w różnych sektorach. Badanie bada inicjatywy podejmowane w celu promowania równości płci, wzmacniania roli kobiet i wspierania działalności przedsiębiorczej wśród nich. Poprzez zgłębienie znaczenia udziału kobiet w gospodarce, ocenę obecnego stanu równości płci oraz wskazanie szans i wyzwań stojących przed kobietami-przedsiębiorcami, artykuł dostarcza wglądu w ewolucję przedsiębiorczości kobiet w Uzbekistanie. Bazując na danych wtórnych, badanie ujawnia rosnące zainteresowanie i zaangażowanie kobiet w małe przedsiębiorstwa oraz działalność przedsiębiorczą. Zauważono jednak również niedobór niezbędnej wiedzy biznesowej i doświadczenia wśród kobiet-przedsiębiorców, a także brak świadomości dotyczącej dostępnych działań wspierających ze strony rządu. Wnioski wyciągnięte z tego badania podkreślają potrzebę interwencji politycznych mających na celu stworzenie sprzyjającego i wspierającego ekosystemu, który ułatwi działania aspirujących kobiet-przedsiębiorców w Uzbekistanie.

This study aims to analyze the contemporary landscape of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, a developing nation in Central Asia, against the backdrop of ongoing reforms across various sec tors. The research explores the initiatives undertaken to promote gender equality, empower women, and nurture entrepreneurial activities among them. By delving into the significance of women’s economic participation, assessing the current status of gender equality, and elucidating the opportunities and challenges for women entrepreneurs, this article provides insights into the evolving scenario of women’s entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan. Drawing upon secondary data, the study reveals a growing interest and involvement of women in small-scale business ventures and entrepreneurship. However, it also highlights a deficiency in requisite business acumen and expertise among women entrepreneurs, along with a lack of awareness regarding government support measures. The implications derived from this research underscore the need for policymaking interventions aimed at creating a conducive and supportive ecosystem tailored to facilitate the endeavours of aspiring women entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.
