The paper presents the concept of tourism not by referring to its history but also by explaining the nature of this phenomenon. The author speaks about various forms of tourism, basing on different criteria. The paper, in general, focuses on the issues related to: - the objectives and the functions of tourism in the landscape park; and - the role of tourism in the community of the landscape park. The author presents economic, social and environmental aspects thereof.
