The paper deals with an introduction to the flow of non-Newtonian fluids. In this contribution we limit ourselves to the case of the isothermal flow of a viscous incompressible fluid. In order to incorporate the effect of the rate of strain on the fluid characteristics the relevant type of constitutive equations are used. The most popular type of the generalised Newtonian fluid is than used for the tube flow demonstration.

The paper presents a simplified mathematical model of the interaction betw'een the urine flow and the male urethra. Urine is assumed to be a newtonian fluid. The flow is considered as turbulent. The wall of urethra featured by elastic properties undertakes large strains. When fully extended the urethra attains the shape of an axisymetric tube. An iterative method based on the uncoupled approach is developed.

W pracy przedstawiono uproszczony model matematyczny oddziałvwania pomiędzy przepływem moczu i męską cewką moczową Mocz rozpatrywano jako ciecz newtonowską. Założono, że przepływ' jest turbulentny. Ściany cewki posiadające własności elastyczne podlegają dużym odkształceniom. W pełni rozciągnięta cewka przyjmuje kształt rury osiowosymetrycznej. Zastosowano metodę iteracyjną bazującą na niesprzężonym przybliżeniu.
