The number and quality of equipment shows not only the state of household wealth, but also its level of modernity. Households behavior can be treated with one hand as one of the manifestations of changes in consumption, and on the other hand as one of the determinants of the level and quality of life. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to analyze households equipment with selected durable goods in Poland, considered in the context of quality of life in the years 2000-2012. Research was based on the individual data of household budget collected by Central Statistical Office (GUS), National Bank of Poland (NBP), Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) and statistical data published by various entities.
